Where we come from
An archipelago is a good model of this work.
Each island has to work on its own, and is stronger connected to the others. That's how we're building our machines.
Ten islands, far apart. The connection is the first thing to go.
So each machine decides on its own.
No power grid between them. Each island makes its own.
So the machines run on little power, and adapt to a supply that comes and goes.
Sea on every side.
So they're made for salt, spray and distance.
In the blue and green economies, at sea and wherever power is made, these conditions are everyday. That's where we look first. Wherever the same conditions hold, the same machines make sense.
